Samsung has launched Galaxy Tab 7.7 for the Indian market. It was released in September 2011 at gadget show IFA in Germany but after 6 months Samsung has made it available for the Indian Customers. It will be facing major competition from Apple's iPad2. Have a look on its features-

  • As the name indicates it is having a 7.7 inches Super AMOLED Plus capacitive touch screen.
  • The Tab is having 1280x800 pixels resolution which is better than iPad2.
  • The tab is running on Android 3.2 Honeycomb powered by a 1.4 GHz dual core processor. The tab is upgradable to ICS.
  • With 7.89 mm thickness, it is weighing 340 gms, So quite easy to handle.
  • This tablet is dual camera. The front camera is 3.0 MP with LED flash which can record videos at 720p.The secondary camera for video calling is 2.0 MP. iPad 2 is having just 0.7 MP camera so Galaxy Tab proves to be a better buy in this regard also.
  • It comes with 1GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage allowing you to download huge number of apps from Android Market. You can expand the memory upto 32 GB via Micro SD card.
  • With 5100mAh battery, it offers a talktime of 10 hours which I think is pretty decent.
  • For connectivity, the tablet includes 3G HSPA 21Mbps, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n with WiFi Direct, Bluetooth v3.0, USB 2.0 Host and A-GPS.

Feature wise it is better and also economical than iPad2. Galaxy Tab 7.7 is priced Rs 33,571. So, are you going to buy it?
