The long awaited gadget Apple’s ipad mini is
finally launched in India.It is available on several online stores such as
flipkart,infibeam etc.But it is out of stock in most of the stores
so probably you will have to wait a bit longer after placing your order.Apple
rolled out iTunes service in India about a week ago and this is
likely to boost sales of iPad mini.
The price of this
device is quite competitive. The 16 GB iPad mini Wi-Fi only version is
available for Rs 21,900, while the 32 GB and 64 GB versions costs Rs 27,900 and
Rs 33,900, respectively. The iPad mini Wi-Fi + cellular version costs Rs 29,900
for the 16 GB version, and the 32 GB version is priced at Rs 35,900. The
high-end 64 GB iPad mini Wi-Fi + cellular version sells for Rs 41,900.The
main competitor for iPad mini in Indian market are Google's Nexus7 and Samsung
Galaxy Tab 2.Both the devices are below Rs.20,000 and due to competitive price
of iPad mini,it will be interesting to see the battle of tabs.
Talking about
the design of the latest iPad mini,it is now 23 percent thinner and 53
percent lighter than the third generation iPad. The new iPad mini sports a
7.9-inch multi-touch display, FaceTime HD, and iSight cameras.
Along with iPad mini,Apple also launched fourth
generation iPad which is having 9.7 inch retina display technology and is
powered by A6X dual-core processor. The 16, 32
and 64GB Wi-Fi-only variants of this iPad are priced at Rs 31,900, 37,900 and
43,900, respectively. Similarly, the 16, 32 and 64GB versions of Wi-Fi+4G
enabled iPad cost Rs 39,900, 45,900 and 51,900, respectively, in India.
