Sony is working on a new phablet code name-C680X.The phablet is spotted in a HTML5 test websites. The results were published on XperiaBlog and from the results,it is clear that the device is running latest 4.2 Android Jelly Bean and has a display of 1920x1080 which is really good. The phablet is in its early testing stages.

Though, there is no information on the specifications of the device but some rumors are spreading regarding this device. The following are its rumored specifications-
  • Snapdragon processor clocked at 2.3 GHz
  • Adreno 330 GPU
  • 6.44 inches touch screen with IPS display.
  • 3GB RAM
  • 32GB internal memory
  • 13 MP rear camera and 2MP front camera
  • 3500 mAh Li-ion battery
Snapdragon 800 processor with 4 cores is powering this device.GPU is also next-gen.The processor is a stand alone feature in this device.Full HD 1080p display could be another selling point for the rumored device. However, JDI, which is a venture of Toshiba, Sony and Sharp display divisions, has in the past revealed a 6-plus-inch display with an astonishing resolution of 2560 x 1600, so a full HD 6.44-incher is not entirely the stuff of fantasy.
Since the device is in its  very early stages,it is hard to predict  the launch date or month. The device is likely to give the upcoming version of Samsung's Galaxy Note a tough fight.Looks like Sony is all set to go one on one with Samsung  this year.Sony is concentrating heavily on High end Android devices these days.Samsung will be facing two fold competition this year-Apple and Sony.Lets wait and see who wins the race this year.
